Below is an excerpt from an article written by Steve Beckow, August 9, 2017. It gives a bit of history and information about the Harmonic Convergence held in 1987. Mr. Beckow gives the reader background information and adds a snippit of the script from an interview with Jose Arguelles.
“The Harmonic Convergence was celebrated worldwide by tens of thousands if not millions of people and marked the first time human beings simultaneously coordinated their prayers, meditations, and ceremonies at sacred sites around the planet. This was the first manifestation of a networked thrust toward a unified moment of collective synchronization. Everyone from Shirley MacLaine to Timothy Leary to John Denver celebrated the event. Even talk show host Johnny Carson got his studio audience to OM on behalf of the event. Many people reported significant shifts in consciousness and a reorientation in their life patterns.”
In 2017, many of us have recognized the need for a change in how things are done in society. The planet and it’s inhabitants are experiencing issues relating to basic needs, which threaten our very survival. There is even talk of war that could devastate all of us. The lack of understanding that we are all from the same creator has no meaning when viewed from a state of greed, anger, or fear. What we see on our news is that our differences are what is emphasized, with negative outcomes promoted.
On the other hand, there are those individuals that respect the value of others. When we understand that we are all one, our souls do not wish harm on any other one. Our reactions are those of compassion and a desire to be of service to assist others. We are seeing Universal Consciousness in action today, when we watch all the rescues and responders coming to help those in Texas. There is a universal connection that we all have to each other. It is a beautiful thing to see.
On a personal note, there is no doubt in my mind that there is an Awakening or an Awareness of how we, as human beings, have not been working from a place of respect (love). There has been a lack of respect for life on this planet for some time. Whether this respect is for human, animal, aquatic, plants, trees, or even the air we breathe and the water we drink, we have been disrespectful. We have caused inexhaustable damage to our beautiful, living planet. And, the truth is much of this damage has been due to our lack of realizing how we have let these offenses occur. It is almost like we have been asleep.
